Founded in 2007, Blu Fine Wine & Food occupies a historic 1930s gas station turned restaurant in Norman, OK. Once home to the Red Parrot Cafe in the early 1980s under restaurateur Jack Hooper, the space was reimagined by Hooper, his wife Lisa, and partners John and Angela Howell and Tom Houser into Blu—a stylish spot for wine and cuisine.
Since then, Blu has thrived on simple truths: in being transported by bold flavors, in garnishing each day with fun, in connecting face to face. Here, food is life, and wine is living. With its brick oven pizzas, private label Napa Valley wines, and a welcoming vibe, Blu has been a cherished Norman gathering place ever since.
Established in 1920’s, in a building that was once a home, then a dining hall for a fraternity, The Library Bar & Grill is an English-style meeting house in Norman, OK.
Before it became The Library, it must be mentioned that for many years it was called Pinks, and the stories many of the locals tell of Pinks make it worth remembering.
Finally however, The Library did come full circle and it was so re-named in 1997. We have been here ever since providing a friendly neighborhood pub for Norman’s fine citizens.
